What If Opposite Day Was a Thing?

What? to Wow! for Executives of the Corporation of Tomorrow

Remember "opposite day" when you were younger? The idea that, just announcing it was "opposite day" gave you a license to do or say one thing but mean the other? That's what this What? to Wow! was inspired by after noticing the countdown timer for the ad on the show I was streaming was running counter-clockwise, i.e. the opposite direction.

As always, the value isn't in finding a single answer to these questions; it's in the pursuit of them.

What: What if Opposite Day were a real day?

Who: Who in your organization would benefit the most from an opposite day?

How: Overall--and honestly--how would you handle things if you woke up one day and everything happened in the opposite direction it normally did and everyone said the opposite of what they really meant?

When: When can you remember going against your instinct (or the numbers) turned out to be the right thing?

Where: Where do you feel most comfortable with everything around you being aligned and going the "right direction"?

Why: Why do you think the decision to run the ad countdown timer was made? Day-dream the process that decision went through.

Huh?: That countdown timer for the ads showing on the show I was watching... that wasn't an accident: imagine what the process might have been to go from idea to implementation.

Wow!: As interesting as opposite day might be in reality, in reality, it's pretty awesome it doesn't exist; what do you appreciate most about clear communication?
